Selecting Neon Store Signs
Neon store signs can be purchased either new or used. Of course, one of the obvious disadvantages to purchasing a used neon sign is that it may show some wear and tear. In addition, you will not have the advantage of customizing your sign. This is fine as long as you only need a sign with a stock logo or phrase. For example, if you need a sign that indicates you are open 24 hours per day or have an ATM at your location; then a used or refurbished neon sign may suit your needs perfectly and save you some on the cost of your sign. If you find that you need a customized sign that includes a particular logo or graphic; however, then you will need to order a customized neon sign for your location. The price of neon signs vary according to a variety of factors. One of these factors involves whether the sign is new or used; of course, but other factors include the size of the sign, complexity and number of colors that are incorporated into your sign. When neon signs were first produced the only color that was available was red; however, today signs are available in more than 150 colors. The more color combinations that you select for your neon sign may accordingly increase the price of your customized sign. In the event that you require custom graphics for your sign that may be difficult or complex to replicate, you may also find that the price of your order increases as well as the length of time it takes to produce and deliver your order; so be sure to plan accordingly. When ordering your custom neon sign, be sure to consider the layout of your sign and whether you want your sign to be displayed horizontally or vertically. Other factors you should consider include the number of colors and number of lines of text your order will required. It is not uncommon for each additional letter to cost up to $10 each. If you need a custom font not usually supplied by the vendor, this may also affect the total price of your order. Simple neon signs in one to two colors, in stock phrases such as Vacancy, Open, etc; can usually be located for between $150 to $200. Custom signs with multiple colors and lines of text usually start out at around $300.
